About
Sara K Ellis is a writer with a keen interest in science fiction and graphic storytelling. She was a Lambda Literary Emerging Writers Fellow in 2011 and attended the Milford Science Fiction workshop in 2017 and 2022. Over the years, she's published more than 30 short stories in a variety of SF and speculative fiction magazines, including Fusion Fragment, Analog, and Shoreline of Infinity, with work forthcoming in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction and others. Alongside her fiction, she has a background in film and has worked as an occasional journalist and translator, writing on subjects ranging from film to American comics, manga, and anime. She lives in Tokyo with her partner and two spirited cats and is currently an associate professor at Meiji University. She is currently working on her next novel.
